Graduation season is upon us yet again, my pretties.
Instagram and Facebook are full of caps and gowns, but at the end of the day it's more than a photo op for a clever opportunity. Whether you're graduating from an Ivy League school or middle school, I applaud you. It can be a daunting task: every test and assignment, every rough morning's burnt tongue from an aesthetically pleasing cuppa joe, every late night cram study session has led to the moment you walk (or chill at home and say screw walking the stage) and receive that diploma.
Whether you're graduating this spring, you just finished your first semester back in 5 years, or you're somewhere in between, keep going. Keep going. Keep going.
I had the pleasure of attending the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha's recent spring graduation for my big sister Annie. Don't ask me what she majored in. I'm almost certain we were there for her associate's degree.
The graduation was nice - a healthy sized group of graduates, lots of smiles, some tears... It was an alright night. This is going to be the shortest review/acknowledgement of the recent UWW graduation ceremony, Spring 2018.

Judge William Domina, President of Waukesha Foundation Board and UW-Waukesha Alumnus, gave the Keynote Address in a powerful (and maybe a little political) speech. It was touching, truly, at points as Domina drew from the experience of recently losing his father in law.
Lastly, on a personal note: Annie, I am so proud of you and how far you have come. Shine bright, all star.
